Atlases

Johnson County periodic atlases provide invaluable data for researchers, including land-owner names, parcel demarcations, and town site insets, geographic features,  cemeteries, and other now-historic landmarks. 

The Johnson County Library provides the 1874, 1902, and 1922 Johnson County atlases through JoCoHistory.org. To locate the atlases, use a search term like "1874 Atlas".

The 1886 Johnson County atlas is digitized and available on Kansas Memory and features the Kaw ferries in operation at the time.
