About the Cemetery

Lenexa Cemetery was officially established in 1872 for use as a city cemetery. The Lenexa Cemetery Association was incorporated at that time to provide the management and maintenance of the cemetery and was made up of volunteers and managed by a Board of Directors. In 2023, the City of Lenexa acquired the cemetery and the Association was disbanded. See the Lenexa Cemetery website for more information.
